Quick and easy dinner

Okay you are running late again ! You need to fetch your kids at school and by the time you get back  it's past six. You are in a flat spin about what to make for dinner...and yes the children is not going to eat the leftovers from Sunday's lunch, for the third time. So we do our magic and make a quick and easy chicken pot. I mean what can go wrong with a chicken pot hmm let me take that back. The electricity can trip, the chicken can be bad or the possibility of over cooking a chicken is always there, but let's not get all emotional about a piece of chicken. We need to get it together dammit we got a dinner to make in 30 min. So here it goes..... Chicken pot  Serves 4 - 6 Ingredients: 1 1/2 olive oil 1 medium onion, diced 4 grated carrots  2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast  Himalayan Salt/ Pepper 1 cup brown rice  1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Ad

Ladies it's spa day You want to relax, but your on a tight budget ?. No worries, I got you !! Here is a body scrub, hair mask and face mask you can make under R100. It's easy, quick and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. Sounds like a bargain, if you ask me. Put on some relaxing music, get your robe and relax.... Body Scrub: 1 cup of sugar 1/4 cup of coconut oil 1/2 ground coffee 2 tbsp of vanilla extract  Hair Mask: 1/2 sliced and peeled avo 3 tbsp of coconut oil 1/4 mayonnaise  leave in for 15min Face Mask 1 tbsp of coconut oil 1/4 cup of turmeric  xxx K

If you are not humming Summer nights from Grease by now, there is something wrong.Go see a doctor or something. and if you came to your senses, let's continue with our Salmon lovin recipe. What you will need to have a blast ( get it haha oh stop it you !) 1 ripe Avo sesame seeds chai seeds rocket 1 tps Balsamic vinegar + Olive oil  15g Cashew nuts  2 x 200g Salmon  Method: first the rocket then the salmon,  pour the sesame seeds + chai seeds + cashew nuts over sprinkle olive oil + balsamic vinegar  now you can shooda-bop bop shooda-bop bop yeah !  and enjoy your Salmon  xxx K

The best bun in down.

Buns out suns out.. This may just be the best bun in town.Yes it's healthy, of course it's quick and it's abso-freaking-lutly good. I bet your mouth is watering by now? Don't be embarrassed, please. How can you not drull? When you have the best bun in town.  Let's break it down, because it's really easy ( we all know by now, that easy is my "go to" word  ) What this bun will need. ( I'm talking about the burger bun. Not "your" bun.Steady there Sally ! )   - 2 whole wheat buns -Rocket leaves -1 cup of cherry tomatoes ( or any tomatoes. cherry tomatoes is for the lazy ones. Like me !) -Camembert cheese ( oh so cheesy you say ) -Cucumber  -Salt & pepper -Paprika - Hummus for the taste ( nobody likes a dry bun ) There you have it. Sundays are one of my best days of the week. We can actually rename it to 'get ourselves together day' because on a Sunday you can.... plan your week ( yes gurll, we are going to be organized ) prep your meals (money saver ) catch up on movies and series stay in bed  go for a walk, with the dogs make a homemade mask give yourself a mani and pedi (yep you just go to gurl ) clean around the house (don't go all crazy with window clean, just the basic dust off type of clean ) bake something nice (gluten free chocolate brownies ) take a long bath, with candles and music (let's keep it with acoustic music shall we, Friday nights we ACDC again ) have a homemade brunch ( okay.fine. You can have one Mimosa with your brunch)  These are just a few of the things that you can do on a Sunday.On Saturdays you can  visit your family, catch up on childhood friends, but on a Sunday you get things together for the week.If you plan your week ahead you will come to realiz

 Stay away from sugar, drink this instead of that.Don't eat too much.  Blah blah..... yeah because kale chips taste sooooo much better then potato crisps, keep telling yourself that. Unfortunately some messed up person figured out that all the good food  is bad for your and all the food that taste like um yeahh I don't have to give you details, is good for you. There is some many diets these days, from low-carb to high-carb, protein diet, egg white diet, military diet, do eat diet. How do one keep up with it all ? Well let's take it step by step.. day for day week for week and before you know it, it's summer and you have reached your goal !! But the question is H ow are we going to maintain a healthy and balanced diet ? The answer is quite simple. Find something that works for you, but remember it's a working progress type of thing.Don't expect a six pack tomorrow if you did a six min workout today. You need to be disciplined every day and the results

Quick and easy omelette recipe.

The story of the omelette... Okay so you have tried cereal, shakes or whatever is in your food cupboard for breakfast. With the hopes that it will keep you full until lunch time, but nothing seems to work.Before you know it, you are walking towards the vending machine and staring that not so lite energy bar in the face Well maybe I have something that can help you with that.The Omelette my dear.It can be the cure for your crumbling tummy. Yeah I know everybody is familiar with the omelette. Some will say it's is to difficult to make, because it flops every time(well don't go and be fancy with your weird recipes, stick with your moms traditional 3 eggs and cheese one  ). So you have watched countless youtube videos and searched "easy omelette" recipes but none of this seems to work for you. Maybe this recipe is the one.. Fruit salad

Okay so we are kind of over all the chicken salads.So let's try something more fruity... The recipe:  Basically it's any fruit of your choice chopped into small pieces and thrown into a expensive bowl. Easier then that you will not get people. Please don't go overboard like your aunt Shelly and add your homemade vanilla custard. I'm sure it's a winner on it's own, but put it aside for now ( ps. cheat day is around the corner ). Don't let the words FRUIT SALAD fool you (I bet your are thinking  "two healthy words next to each this is the golden ticket "). Remember ! to much of it can be just as bad as nuggets at McDonald's. So pace yourself... Some fruits that taste good together. (Yes, you are reading correct. I named the recipes from my creative side ) 1. Banana lama  3 cups of chopped straberries 1 cup of blueberries 2 bananas, peeled and sliced  1 apple, peeled and chopped  1 teaspoon of organic honey 

Let it go

#Monday Mindset  Let it all go and just let it be. Unfortunately you can not change the way life goes, but what you can change is your state of mind my dear. Yeah sometimes things get to you and you want to scream into your pillow until you fall asleep ( nobody said you can't ) or maybe you want to switch off all the lights in your apartment and just let the candle give you some light. Okay maybe your half way down the stairs on your way to McDonald's to get yourself a happy meal, because let's face it .This Monday is a bit*h ( the best ones are ). After you have done all these little things to make you feel better, remember this one thing : It's okay to LET IT GO. It's really okay. So what he didn't call or the scale did not show you what you wanted to see. You need to remember you are still learning and nobody came with a manual into this life. Let the scale and the fu*ckboy be motivation to put yourself first. It's okay to love yourself first. yo

Yummy Chicken ! and oh so easy to prep for work  What you will need: 1 chicken breast some rocket tomatoes cucumber salt and pepper paprika balsamic vinegar and olive oil ( healthy replacement for a salad dressing) chia seeds ( so so soo good for you with many health benefits) Chuck it all together with the steamed chicken breast and prep your lunch for the week. It's going to save you money and time. Have one fruit with it (apple,mango,banana) try to eat your last fruit before 15h00 in the afternoon, because it contains sugar. (natural sugar of course ) xxx K

Can't sleep

Okay it's 1am and you are still tossing and turning in your bed. You have tried every sleeping position there is but you just cannot seem to fall asleep. I bet Hubs next to you is having the best dream of his life.While you are starting to get irritated because you need to be up at 6am to go to the gym ( ughhh why can't fat disappear like my money disappears out of my bank account !)  So we are going to try a few steps to get you to bed ( that sounds worse then I thought, but you know what I mean ) 1.Change into your comfiest Pj's 2.Make a cup of chamomile tea ( don't have chamomile  tea, warm milk with honey will do the trick) 3.Hide your alarm clock ( aka your phone ) 4.Dab lavender oil on your pillow 5 Put on your happy socks 6.Read a book . Night Night sleep tight ps . If this did not work, go Bench watch a new series xxx K

Quick and easy lunch

It's that time of the day where you can hear how your tummy is going half mad for something to eat and Peter who is sitting next to you is eating his egg sandwich ( which we all now that his mom packed it in for him ). Now are we going to run to the nearest cafe and buy the quickest, over priced chicken salad there is ? No we are not. Wanna know why ? Because it's mid January and everyone is broke maybe after pay day we can afford a chicken salad but not today. So in this case we are going to prep our lunch the night before after we had our bubble bath with candles. What you will need is ( all in budget ) -1 shredded chicken spiced with some paprika. salt and pepper ( nobody likes a tasteless chicken ) -as many tomato's as you like ( they are one of the things in life where you can eat as much as you like and the kJ stay low , so feest on them my friends ) - cucumber sliced ( good for staying hydrated) -balsamic vinegar for salad dressing or pure olive oil Yes,

Yep for sure with no doubt ! Hello my beautiful people.. Have you ever thought how your mornings would be without coffee? Honestly I'm to scared to think about it, because without my coffee I feel like I cannot function right and I'm mean like seriously. Some people may say Green tea is a better option if you want to wake up and feel refreshed and blah blah blahhhhh, but me on the other hand says srew green tea and all it;s health benefits I will drink my cup of green tea after I had  my 8 cups of coffee to help me get started for the day ( okay not eight maybe just seven. It's my new years resolution to drink less coffee  ). So with that said. I hope you are sitting with a big cup of coffee while reading this. Quick and easy chicken.

Yep it's Saturday night and hubby wants chicken for dinner. So we will make finger licking good chicken for him. What you will need: A bottle of wine ( for you of course ) olive oil salt, pepper chicken breast greek yogurt                -2 tbsp coriander                     -just a sprinkle chopped tomato          - one pasta                            - one cup chopped mushrooms   - one cup chopped onion            - half a cup Recipe: All right ladies put on that stove and let's get started. First of all is your class of wine full ? well if it's not, get yourself together it's Saturday. Now get your pots out, it's that stuff that take up all the space in the kitchen. Put the pasta on the stove and let it cook. Pour a little bit of oil on the pan and add your stripped chicken. Sprinkle your coriander,salt and pepper over the chicken. In another pot add your chopped mushrooms and onions until done. If you see that your chicken is near done

2018, we are coming in hot..

Ladies it's that time of the year again!. All you get to read on your Instagram feed is "it;s a new year, new me' kind of stuff  but they still sit with the same sh*t. Okay so we started with a new year about two weeks ago.The first week went well, we drank our 2 liters of water a day,we did our squads and ate that tasteless vegetables. We wrote down our goals and plans for 2018. Now ladies we live in a unrealistic , realistic kind of world ( that does not make any sense at all ) but let me try to explain it to you by setting a unrealistic ( good girl) and a realistic ( normal human being with life problems) 2018 goals list. 2018 (unrealistic)                                               2018 (realistic) - no alcohol, before 15h00                               - drink alcohol 24/7 it keeps you going - drink 2 liters of water a day                           - nahh alcohol is enough liquid - eat ONLY steamed vegetables                       - no comment - be
